First Rhinebeck than Stitches East

Ok back a week now from Rhinebeck, I got some great advice from Claudia whom I met in the Lobby of our hotel. I had wanted to learn to spin-she sent me to Carolina Homespun, SOo Sunday morning I headed there Regine (SPELLING?) was so patient helping me pick a drop spindle and showing how to use it. Now its up to me to practice! I need more than 2 hands so i can sew knit spin all at the same time.
Believe it or not I am now packing to go to my daughter's in MD. She wants to sccrapbook so packing that, Knitting stuff , thinking about taking my "little "bernina to sew. I still have to pack some clothes to wear! The Bins are stacking up near the door I am leaving thursday.
All I can say is I love being retired!

I also am finishing up the fuchias for the market bag the pistils and stamen's are a pain! But will be beautiful when done.

onto sewing now

Well our little knit group met yesturday. I forgot to bring directions for the fushia's I am knitting for a noni bag. So i casted on my 2nd sock that was interupted by ravelympics. \Got home and had to sew cell phone bags and little wallets using pink ribbon fabrics. Trying to come up with more ideas and quick sew projects for fund raiser next month.

Apartment getting back into shape ceiling patched and painted. I don't like cottage sheese ceilings but it has saved the day (or$$) Roof company came back , the crew took soffits off, but left it open to the outside! The gutter guy came and put new gutter up without the soffit. Now it has to come back down..never ending

Hobbies

Since I retired I think I have all the time in the world! Ha not true I had tried scapbooking years ago bought a bunch a stuff . It's been sitting around for years, no I got it out. Bad move now making cards ,scrapbook pages, etc. Discovered rubber stamping too. So friday nights are crop nights at a local stamp shop. What this adds up to is getting nothing else done, I embroidered on my sewing maching for the first time in about a year yesturday.
To add to all my stuff my daughter brought me her cricut and cuttle bug machinery. But we had a nice "crafty weekend" together.

Finnish line

I am headed for the finish line of those 2-at-a-time and toe-up sock's I really don't like the technique, I spent more time untangling the yarns. I am binding off soon. I'll be done within the hour

Erie County Fair

Hopefully going to the fair today. You have to live in Western NY to appreciate the Fair it is so BIG. The creative arts commitee needs some new blood though. Old rules keep alot of new quilter's etc out. But there is so much to see, do and eat there.
I really don't have time for new hobby's but went antways. Last night went to a scapbooking crop..I worked on a book project I had in mind, but also made very cute cards. So now I have to go get stamp pads and colored pencils. Also got to use the cuddlebug and quiccut machine( i think's it name) So cool I see Christmas cards in the making.
Got home after 11pm but did pick up the sock's had to turn them around on the needle's again but I am a row from finnishing the gussets. I do not like 2-at-time sock's.
